Variants covered
Wiper size depends on the windscreen, not the trim, engine or fuel – every variant of a generation takes the same blades:
- Alturas G4: 2WD, 4WD
Which wiper blade type is best?
- Conventional (from ₹399 a set) – metal frame, dependable everyday wiping. Best value for city use.
- Hybrid (₹599) – frame inside an aerodynamic cover; firmer contact and a sleeker look.
- Frameless (₹699) – single curved beam for even pressure and quiet wiping at highway speed. Our pick for heavy monsoon rain.
- Carbon Aero (₹1,200) – premium frameless blade with a carbon-finish aero spoiler for the best high-speed performance.
Whichever type you choose, buy the exact size: a blade that is too long can hit the windscreen frame, and one that is too short leaves an unwiped band in your line of sight.
How to replace Alturas G4 wiper blades
- Lift the wiper arm away from the windscreen until it locks upright.
- Press the release tab on the U-hook adapter and slide the old blade down off the hook.
- Slide the new blade onto the hook until it clicks into place.
- Lower the arm gently and repeat on the other side with the correct length.
- Test with washer fluid – the glass should be clear in one sweep.
When to replace
Every 6–12 months, or sooner if the blades streak, squeak, judder or leave unwiped patches – especially before the monsoon.
